Model Agencies

We are NOT a model agency although we list here some basics you should follow if you are seeking jobs in modelling. Our interest is purely for you to add your profile and some interesting photos and then we show you to a wider audience including various model agencies and model scouts who will inevitably see your profile online here with us. Of course you must be over 18 and liberally minded because we are an adult site aiming to bring together a cosmopolitan selection of adult workers under one roof.

If you are just starting out in the modeling industry please be careful as there are unscrupulous agencies who will prey on your dreams and aspirations of becoming a model. There is an army of so called "photographers" and groups claiming to be "photographic agencies" with some being genuine and some you should avoid. Here are some signs you should look out for if you are to avoid being ripped off and exploited:

  • Some photographers will ask you to pay them for an expensive portfolio that you can take to the agencies. They convince you that without a professional portfolio you will not even get in the front door of a model agency. Agencies are trained to look beneath the veneer of makeup and will normally be looking for fresh faces to express a particular style. By all means take some snaps with you but don't go spending hundreds of pounds on a portfolio that will be of NO use to the model agency. We have seen it (we have even been victim to it). Don't waste your money because if you have what it takes, the model agency will do your photos with a trusted pro photographer.
  • The Model Agency wants to charge you a registration fee.  Just be sure that the agency you go to has been around for a while and advertises in some of the physical media such as magazines, newspapers, yellow pages. This will all add to your security and peace of mind because the dodgy ones don't tend to last too long. A good model agency will have contacts and networkers in the industry who are looking for models and ideally they will have a fairly busy office with a professional feel about it. Ask them who they have connections with i.e. what catalogues, magazines, publishers, TV media, local media, radio stations, local businesses etc. They should be able to give you some examples of the type of modelling that successful girls have ended up doing. If they can give no examples and just keep talking about a registration fee then best left alone.
  • Sex Farms. Some of the raunchier xxx rated "model agencies" that claim they will make you into "xxx rated glamour model" or a "porn star model" are legitimate as long as they tell you up front EXACTLY what they are looking for and you UNDERSTAND exactly what you have to do and what you will get in return for that. However, be very wary of promises of immediate work, high pressure to get you to sign a contract without you first reading it. The contract is full of small type legal jargon that looks like another language. You should ALWAYS take a copy of this home with you (before signing it) and be honest and say you wish to have the contract checked out. You need to make sure you are not likely to regret something you do now at a later date. Occasionally we hear of girls being asked to pose naked or have sex in return for preferential marketing treatment to get the "plum jobs" (sex in return for promises of jobs).
