        Getting Started Basic Cam Instructions

        Before you download any software you need to have a webcam already set up and working correctly on your computer. The software should then recognise the webcam driver and automatically fill out the form fields you mentioned.

        So...
        1.Once your cam is already working (with msn for example) plug it in and leave it plugged in while you go inside prettygirlscams.com as a performer to download the software.
        2. Click on "performers area" and login as a performer here http://www.prettygirlscams.com/exec/performer/join on the left hand side login fields use your registered Username / Password
        3.  You will find yourself here  when you login http://www.prettygirlscams.com/exec/performer/welcome
        4. Select "download" and start download here http://www.prettygirlscams.com/exec/performer/download
        5. select "save" to download the applet and save it on the desktop (it's version prettygirlscams.2.2.exe)
        6. You can now logout of the programme completely
        7. Double click the desktop applet and select "run", next and accept the agreement then next again. It will ask you where to install the file and the default here is fine C:\Program Files\WebVideo
        8. It will have a field where you can name the applet for easy recognition (i.e. "Your Performer Name Cam"), click next select "create a desktop icon" as a minimum or both if you wish.
        9. select install
        10. select "finish" with box ticked to launch webvideo.
        11. In the login box make sure your username and password are in here.
        12. On mine the connection host box says prettygirlscams.com and the port says 6988, quality of video is on best and frame rate is unlimited. (the quality of frame rate is adjustable at later date if for example you have a slow connection you would change the quality of video to half way and maybe lower the frame rate to 25 or 20 if necessary. The lower the quality you use then the faster the screen will refresh because you are using less bandwidth. These settings vary per computer and internet connection.
        13 Sound and language do not need to touch.
        14 When you have done all that it will launch and you should see yourself in a small window on the left hand side.
        15.The applet software normally recognises the webcam drivers etc. For example in mine where it says "select camera device" mine reads Logitech Quickcam Fusion" in the top box
        and "Logitech Microphone Fusion" in the lower box (the webcam has a built in microphone). You may see there is a choice of webcam and microphone in the boxes so you select the right one of course.
        16.The settings are pretty self explanatory really but be careful with set video format that you don't pick too high a pic size as bandwidth may cause it not to work (it works on my computer on the largest size so maybe will on yours too).
        17 If you can't see yourself in a window try clicking on the little blue webcam icon on the top left hand side of your control panel directly under where it says "Webvideo v2.2"
        18. When you want to go "online" click the green online "Available / Connect" button next to "Main" and this broadcasts you. You can also go in to "Main" and see your connection status and choose available connect or offline disconnect.
        19. While you are familiarising yourself you can turn sound off (or on).
        20 To change the connection quality or frame rate just go to preferences and make the change in there.
        21.I have set it so you can decide to allow or disallow non registered users to start a chat (it's the icon third from right that looks like a man).
        22.I have allowed you to give free chat too by using the icon second from the right (looks like a flower)
        23. The right hand side icon looks like a globe and this is if you want to break off the chat for some reason.
        24. Chatting by typing is done using the lower window. just type and click enter then you will see what is being said in the top window. Some
        people may just want to live chat and not see video, others will want both, others will want just live cam and sound but no typing.
        25 The fourth icon form the right is for taking a snapshot and saving it on your computer.
